a subscriber may, if he so desires, apply in Form C or as near thereto as possible, along with his pass book to the Accounts Office for withdrawing funds from his/her credit balance in PPF account.
How much can anyone withdraw from PPF account?
As per PPF rule book, one can withdraw an amount not exceeding fifty per cent of the credit balance at the end of the fourth year immediately preceding the year of withdrawal or at the end of preceding year, whichever is lower, less the amount of loan, if any which remains unpaid.
How many times one can withdraw from PPF account?
As per PPF rule book, Only one withdrawal shall be permissible during any one year.
Are all PPF Subscribers eligible for partial withdrawal?
No all subscriber, but only those who has maintained their subscriptions in accordance with para 3 of the Public Provident Fund scheme are eligible for partial withdrawal.
Those who failed maintained their subscriptions as per PPF rule book and defaulted in subscriptions, either by nonpayment of subscriptions or payment of amount less than the minimum of Rs.500/- is not eligible for facility of making partial withdrawals from the account unless the account is revived.
